A Note from the Publisher
Jeff Calvert
Hello Fellow Rotarians,
As we enter our second year creating the monthly Gears and Ears
e-magazine for all of you, we are working diligently to get back to
Rotary basics.
Yes, its true that service above self is one of the major driving
concepts behind Rotary, but this organization is also about
networking and doing business with one another.
I believe our e-magazine can help us emphasize both aspects of
Rotary. We already feature the many service accomplishments of our club and of Rotary
International in every issue. However, in order to do a better job with the business side, we
will be including Business Profiles in the magazine, beginning with this issue. Each profile is
a quick snapshot of a members business and includes a brief background, the services and/
or products offered, how they are a resource for fellow Rotarians, and whether the
business has a great deal or offer for us (please see the examples that follow). Each Profile
will also feature a photo and a company logo that will take the reader to the members
business website with a single click.
I am planning this year to extend our e-magazine to Rotarians in the district and will be
presenting information about some companies at the beginning of each month when I show
the new issue at club meetings.
Thank you so much for your support and participation!
Jeff
