                                                  MALALA YOUSAFZAI
                                                    By: Ella Brinckerhoff

For my Four Way Test I will be introducing you to a 17 year old, girl named Malala Yousafzai.
Malala Yousafzai is a girl that has not only inspired the world but changed the world by speaking out
about women and girls rights for education and other things too.

Malala lived in Mingora, Pakistan. This town was a Taliban religion place. The Taliban did not believe
girls and women had a right to go to school and receive a good education. Malala spoke up. She tried to
prove that girls’ and women’s right to go to school were just as large as boys’ and men’s right. She
started off voicing her opinion through her blog. Then as more and more people saw her blog she started
going on different TV programs voicing her opinion to not only Pakistan but the world.

The Taliban wanted to stop her voicing out so they retaliated with something very violent. They
sent a gunman to her school bus and attacked her. Luckily she survived. Only nine months after being
attacked she spoke a famous speech at The United Nations in New York City. She told the whole world
about girls and women’s rights for education and other things too. Even though bad people tried to stop
her she keeps on going and showing the world what she can do and what she can change. After this
speech, she went on to win the National Youth Peace Prize and The Nobel Peace prize. The National
Youth Peace Prize was renamed the National Malala Peace Prize and she made history being the
youngest person to ever win The Nobel Peace Prize.

In my opinion, Malala received 100% on the Four Way test. Malala was truthful. She was honest
to the world about what she believed should be done about women and girls rights. She was fair and
considerate about how her actions would affect other people. What she has done has changed the
world for the better. She built goodwill with her actions by helping all girls and women across the globe.
And finally, was it beneficial to all concerned? YES! She helped to build a better world for all.

This is why Malala Yousafzai is a great inspiration when it comes to the four way test.
