2022-2023 Award Recipients
Congratulations to All
October 2023
The Garth Walker Rotarian of the Year Award is named a�er one of our founding and long-
�me members, Garth Walker, and honors the all-around-Rotarian. This member has a long list
of contribu�ons to the club. He volunteers for virtually all service projects. He is a weekly
volunteer at 2nd Harvest, a mainstay at our fundraising events, Programs Chair extraordinaire,
and President-Elect of our Club. Garth Walker Rotarian of the Year: Keith Wolling
The Anne Peach Service Above Self Award is named for our truly amazing member Anne
Peach and it is given to an individual who, like Anne, is dedicated to contribu�ng to the Club
without the expecta�on of accolades. This member was a key contributor in finding
community service projects for our club, including the Million Meals Marathon and so many
more. Anne Peach Service Above Self Award: Lynn Roeder
The Four Way Test Award honors the member who exemplified all aspects of the four-way
test. This individual volunteered countless hours during the Rotary Youth Leadership Academy,
the Arnold Palmer Invita�onal, and led the club’s Charity Golf Challenge again this year. As co-
treasurer, he managed the Club and Founda�on funds and accounts, and was always available
for club service. Four Way Test Award: Greg Gorski
Object of Rotary Award is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy
enterprise. This member selflessly contributes his ar�s�c, graphics, and wri�ng talent in the
club. His work supports the charity golf challenge, the E-Magazine, club flyers, and so much
more. Object of Rotary: Augus�ne Campana
Avenues of Service Award recognizes involvement in each of Rotary’s five Avenues of Service.
Services include Club, Voca�onal, Community, Interna�onal, and Youth. This member willingly
gives of her �me in each. Her passions include the Club Founda�on, a 501c3 with a mission to
give back in our local community, and Rotary Youth Leadership Academy, where she serves as
a group mentor. Avenues of Service: Jean Campana
Dis�nguished Service Award is given for long-�me service to the Club. This member works
�relessly managing our club finances for more years than we can count. He’s always ready to
pitch in on service projects, contribute to our E-Magazine, join in fellowship, and so much
more. Dis�nguished Service: Harry Boardman
Above and Beyond Award is in recogni�on of an individual who always goes the extra mile to
serve the club through selfless acts of kindness. This member greets Rotarians, poten�al
Rotarians, speakers, family members, and guests each week. She o�en works behind the
scenes, giving her �me, talent, and financial support. Her work as the club secretary has been
exemplary. Above and Beyond: Pa� Kelly
The Rookie of the Year is awarded to a new member who quickly exemplifies what it means to
be a Rotarian. This year the award was presented to two members who immediately engaged
with the club, supported charitable and fund-raising works, and took on meaningful club roles.
Rookies of the Year: Naira Aliyeva and Susan Lau
33 Club members were recognized for maintaining 100% a�endance in the 2022-2023
Rotary year. Many had achieved this goal for quite a few years.
President Anthony Lightman also recognized members of the Club Board
of Directors and Chairs for their service.
