Most fun job: My first big hotel – Sheraton Indianapolis Hotel
& Suites – 560 rooms. It was corporate owned and managed so
I was always a test hotel for all the newest and greatest
technological systems, and won Sales Leader for the year and
had two international incentive trips as rewards, which enabled
Tim and I to get married in Cabo San Lucas.
Career background Started off as a Sales Admin for the Convention & Visitors Bureau in
Dayton, OH. I wanted to move up to sales for them, but the Vice President said I needed to
understand the hotel business first so he got me a job as a Catering Manager, I then moved to
Sales Manager, Director of Sales & Marketing, General Manager, Vice President of Operations
and then I decided that sales was my true passion and have been a Director of Sales & Marketing
            ever since.
Why did you join Rotary? I was told I had to. Jay Leonard, General Manager of the Wyndham
Lake Buena Vista where our meetings are held, and where I was the Director of Sales &
Marketing, brought Sonny Buoncervello into my office one day and Sonny stated that they
needed younger members and female members and I fit the profile. Jay said that in support of
Rotary I would join the club! I was not happy about being “forced” into joining a service
organization that I knew nothing about…however, after I let my anger down and learned about
Rotary and the members of the club, I cannot thank Jay or Sonny enough. I love Rotary, and I
            love our club!
Are you a Paul Harris Fellow? Yes, just this year was my first, I plan to do one a year
What other Rotary honors have you been awarded? Garth Walker Rotarian of the Year 2012/
2013; High Ethical Standards Award 2011/2012
What club positions have you held in Rotary: President-Elect 2013/14 and Secretary 2012/13
Which committee (avenue of service) interests you? International Service and Club Service
(specifically membership) – I want all new members to have the same passion and love for
Rotary and our Club as I have developed.
Current employer/ position: Director of Sales & Marketing, Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile
            Beach Resort & Spa.
Travel interests: As long as it is warm I will go anywhere. Tim and I love Australia so we’re very
excited that the Rotary International Convention is there in 2014. I have always wanted to go to
the Maldives, and it is definitely on my list when we do our “round the world trip”!
Something we don’t know about you! I used to work for Tim many years ago and that is how
            we met.
