Jean Campana - Meeting Attendance and Makeups

                                         Greetings All,

As Rotarians, we committed to attending and participating in Rotary
meetings and events when we joined. These gatherings are fun and
rewarding, and many members strive for 100% attendance; however,
travel schedules and business commitments may make it impossible
to get to our club meeting everyThursday. The good news is, there are
a number of ways to make up for a missed meeting. These include:

                                         • Attending a meeting at another Rotary club.
                                         • Attending and participating in a club service project or club-
sponsored community event or meeting authorized by the board

          • Participating directly and actively in a service project sponsored by the district, RI, or The Rotary
Foundation in a remote area where a make-up opportunity isn’t available
           • Attending a regular meeting of any of the following: Rotaractclub, Interact club, Rotary Community
Corps, a Rotary e-club, a provisional Rotaract or Interact club or Rotary Community Corps, or a
          meeting of a Rotary Fellowship

           • Attending a board meeting or, if authorized by the board, a meeting of a service committee to
          which the member is assigned

          • Participating through a club website in an interactive Rotary activity lasting at least 30 minutes.

          • Attending Rotary events such as Rotary Leadership Institute, District conference, or RI Convention.

If you miss an LBV club meeting, you can receive credit if, within 14 days before or after the missed
meeting, you attend an event such one as those listed above, and then complete the online “enter
          makeup” process.

To enter a makeup, go to http://rotarydistrict6980.org/ then click on Member Access, enter your user
name and password to log in. Once you are logged in, click on My Data. You will find the Enter
Makeup button under your photograph (or the place for your photo if you haven’t yet uploaded one.)
          Follow the instructions from there.

Remember, an attendance record of 50 percent is required to remain an active Rotarian. That’s not
a goal, it’s a bare minimum. It’s easy to do much better considering our stimulating and informative
club meetings and all the opportunities there are to join in other fulfilling Rotary events.

          Engage Rotary, Change Lives,

          Jean Campana
          2013-14 Club Secretary
