Education: Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Florida State
University. Graduated cum laude in 1998.
Marital status: Married to Cari Brinckerhoff since February 2000
First job: My neighbor owned a pool maintenance service, so I
worked with him in the summers starting at age 13. I can brush, net,
and vacuum as good as anyone!
Most fun job: From age 16 to 18 I sold sun tan lotion (Panama
Jack) at the pool decks at many of the local hotels on International
                                           Drive and Disney area.
Career background: After graduating from FSU, my first job was
as a sales representative for the Miami Elevator Company. Then in 2000 I decided to start my real
career and follow my father’s footsteps into the financial services business, so I started with A.G.
Edwards & Sons as a financial consultant. In 2006 I combined my practice with my father and my
brother to form the Brinckerhoff Financial Group. In 2008 I achieved the Certified Financial Planner
designation. That same year our team moved our practice to Raymond James. Today our team
provides comprehensive financial planning and investment management services for over 350
            households.
Why did you join Rotary? After spending the first 10 years of my working career focused on
myself and my own goals, I started feeling the need to get involved and give back to my community.
My client Garth Walker invited me to a meeting, and I found it to be the perfect combination of
            community service, fellowship, and networking.
Are you a Paul Harris Fellow?: I am a Paul Harris Fellow +1.
What other Rotary honors have you been awarded?: Four Way Test Award 2008-09, High
Ethical Standards Award 2010-11, Objects of Rotary Award 2012-13
What club positions have you held in Rotary: Secretary, Club Administration Chair, Service
            Projects Chair, President-Elect, President (2011-12)
Which committee (avenue of service) interests you?: I like making things work more efficiently,
so the Club Administration committee has kind been a natural fit for me. I also enjoy helping Harry
            on the finance committee.
Current employer/ position: Associate Vice President – Investments, and Certified Financial
Planner with the Brinckerhoff Financial Group of Raymond James.
Travel interests: I haven’t traveled much at this point in my life. In the US I would love to go to
Yellowstone, the Grand Canyon, and Hawaii. Internationally I have always wanted to go to
Australia, as well as Southern Europe.
Something we don’t know about you!: I don’t just shave my head because it is perfectly shaped
                                                         nd
and I’m trying to show it off. Ever since 2 grade I have had an auto immune condition called
Alopecia that causes partial or complete hair loss. There are no other physical effects, but the hair
on my head only grows in patches, so I just shave it off.
