                                                     September 2018

                                  2017-2018 Award Recipients
Announced at the Year-end Party - Congratulations to All

The Rookie of the Year is awarded to a new 2017-18 member who in a short time has already
exemplified what it means to be a Rotarian. This individual contributed creative ideas for fund-
raising, hosted one of our First Tuesday Socials in her establishment, was a vital member of the
golf tournament committee, and was just all around pleasant year round. The recipient of the
Rookie of the Year Award: Shelley Freeman.

The Four Way Test Award is for the member who exemplified all aspects of the four way test.
This individual volunteered countless hours to benefit us all by capturing the action and ambience
of a majority of our club’s event. She was also someone who served our community honorably and
contributed to the success of local citizens who needed help getting back on their feet after being
dealt unexpected life challenges. The recipient of the Four Way Test Award: Secily Wilson.

The Anne Peach Service Above Self Award is named for our truly amazing member Anne Peach
and it is given to an individual who, like Anne is dedicated to contributing to the Club without the
expectation of accolades. We had the distinct honor of awarding the Service Above Self Award to
the very person it was named after for her tireless efforts in helping our club, the community, and
touching the heart of each member in our club with her generosity. The recipient of the Service
          above Self Award: Anne Peach.

The Garth Walker Rotarian of the Year Award was awarded to a member who never said “no”
and always said “here’s how”. She volunteered her time for service projects, volunteered her
resources to support our events, and volunteered her expertise to advance projects and club
operations. She did so with a smile on her face and as effective and timely as anyone could ask
for. She is what Paul Harris envisioned when he was dreaming of what his creation of Rotary
would become. Our Club’s Rotarian of the Year for 2017-2018: Cornelia Jung.
