Polio Plus

With the support of the Gates Foundation, Rotary is making long strides towards the full eradication of Polio worldwide

PolioPlus is Rotary International’s signature initiative to eradicate polio and protect children from this devastating, preventable disease. Working alongside global health partners, Rotary has helped reduce polio cases worldwide through immunization, advocacy, education, and fundraising.

Individual Rotary clubs remain at the forefront of this historic effort by raising awareness, supporting vaccination campaigns, engaging local leaders, and contributing essential resources. Their collective commitment demonstrates how community-based action can create lasting change and move the world closer to ending polio forever.

The Rotary Club of Lake Buena Vista is a major player in District 6980, contributing to Polio Plus every year through donations made by individual club members, as well as through club-wide donation initiatives. The fight is not over, and we intend to continue fighting in support of Rotary’s End Polio Now campaign across the globe.
