Basic Education and Literacy
We support multiple education and youth development programs—including RYLA in Central Florida
Basic Education and Literacy focuses on helping children and adults gain the knowledge and skills required to participate fully in their communities. Rotary supports teacher development, accessible schools, literacy instruction, educational materials, technology, and programs that reduce the barriers preventing people from learning.
The Rotary Club of Lake Buena Vista helps advance education through scholarships, mentoring, school partnerships, donated resources, and opportunities that encourage young people to recognize their abilities. Beyond our community, Rotary connects our support with projects that train educators and expand literacy in underserved regions. Education rarely changes a life in one dramatic moment; it works steadily, opening possibilities that continue to multiply long after a lesson has ended.
Central Florida is ripe with opportunity to make an impact on basic education needs. We continue to engage nonprofits, schools, and fellow Rotary Clubs as partners in our unified front to make education a priority in children’s lives. There is no limit to what we can accomplish if we all work together as Rotarians.
